It’s a new month, which means its time for February’s glam bag! I really did my research this time and not only will you be getting my review and opinion on the products, but you will also be getting other people’s review as well! This months bag I am not the happiest about. There is two or three products that I did not care for, and when I was looking at other people’s review they did not care for them either. This month the products I got were the:
- Trust Fund Beauty nail polish in the shade: Wine o’clock
- Bubble T Cosmetics macaroon lip balm in the shade: lemongrass & green tea
- Pacifica eye shadows in the shade: beach crystals
- Trestique mini eye pencil in the shade: swiss chocolate
- Luxie Beauty blending and shading eye brush #249
Lets jump right into these reviews!
Lets talk about the Trust Fund Beauty Nail Polish. It claims to be insanely shiny. Unbelievably chip resistant. Cruelty free, 10 free, paraben free, and gmo free. When a product makes claims like insanely shiny and unbelievably chip resistant I expect it to be just that. Who wants to buy a product that chips and smudges and is super dull? NO ONE! So when I was reading the claims I had very high expectations for it, but I was completely let down by this product. It takes forever to dry, and I mean forever! I tried using a hairdryer to help them dry quicker, but that did not work. I tried using a quick drying top coat, but that only made it worse. It chips very very easily. The formula of this product just does not work. I like trust fund beauty but this product just did not work for me. I’m going to share some other reviews with you guys on this product. One person said “polish never dried, after 1 hour of waiting polish was still incredibly wet.” Another women said “Product chips super easy.” As I was reading other reviews a lot of them said the same thing about the product. I absolutely love the color of this nail polish! The color is right up my alley, but the formula was just not good at all.
This is the Bubble T Cosmetics macaroon lip balm. It smells very refreshing, and the packaging is adorbs! This little cutie is made with lemon essential oil and jojoba oil. Lemongrass and green tea scent stimulates your senses like a cup joe. I love how cute the packaging is on this! I am a huge sucker for pretty packaging. I don’t like how I have to dip my finger into the product to use it. I feel like that is so unsanitary! The product dries very quickly, so I find myself having to reapply the product more frequently. It does smell awesome, and very refreshing! Even though it does dry down quickly, it feels very smooth, soft, and moisturizing on the lips. I do really like this product and would purchase it! Other women who have reviewed this product have said “feels wonderful”, “loved it super smooth”, “makes my lips really soft.” There really was not any negative reviews on this product, other than the fact that it dries down quickly. I could look past that though just because the product does make my lips feel super soft and the packaging is so cute!
Lets move on to one of my favorite products in this bag! This is the Pacifica eye shadow palette in the shade Beach Crystals. These mineral shadows are super velvety smooth. Will not crease, even after wearing them all day long! These eye shadows can also be used wet to amp up the color even more! Also they are vegan and cruelty free. Omg ladies! I absolutely love these eye shadows! My mom has a Pacifica palette with different shades, and she has hit pan on every single shadow! These shadows are very smooth and pigmented. They blend out like a dream, and if you don’t think they have enough pigment you can totally build them up. I used the lightest purple shade with a little setting spray on the shadow and packed it all over my lid, and let me tell you it just completely made my look perfect. It looked so beautiful I was left speechless. This product had very mix reviews on it, and I wanted to share them with you because some people love it and agree it has a lot of pigment. Other people think the shadows are dull and not pigmented at all. I would recommend getting this product and trying it for yourself!
This is the Trestique mini eye pencil in the shade swiss chocolate. I am not the biggest fan of this brand to be completely honest. I have had products from them before and I just have not been impressed. I do not like saying bad things about brands but i want to give you guys an honest review and this product just did not work for me. This product claims to be a creamy gel formula that glides on like a liquid, but is way easier to use. Also claims that it lasts for 16 hours. Okay I do agree that is glides on easily, but it most certainly does not last 16 hours! It smudges, it is not waterproof, and it smears like crazy! I wanted to swatch it and see how it did, and as soon as I touched it the product pretty much disappeared. It left dark circles under my eyes because it was smearing everywhere! I was really surprised at the other reviews on this product because a lot were stating that “eyeliner goes on smooth. Nice color. “This eyeliner is awesome. Went on so easy, no fuss, no smearing or smudging.” “Glides on very well.” I do not agree with any of these. Yes I know we all have our opinions, but I was kind of shocked I didn’t really see anything negative on this product. Maybe I’m just to picky when it comes to eyeliners!
So this is the final product! This is the Luxie Beauty Blending and Shading eye brush #249. Tapered on one side for packing down your powder shadows, and fluffy on the other side for oh so easy blending. Super soft bristles are synthetic, so no furry friends were harmed in the making! I have nothing bad to say about Luxie Beauty. I love all of there brushes. Luxie Beauty is one of my go to brands for makeup brushes. They help blend out even the most difficult products! They do not sponsor me, and i am not affiliated with them. This is just my honest review and opinion on there products. I would recommend this brand to anyone who is looking for good brushes. It doesn’t hurt that none of our beautiful furry friends get hurt in the process!
