Today’s post is all about that soft, natural yet glam makeup look! I know your probably thinking “How can my makeup look natural but yet glamorous?” Well I am going to show you!
Prepping your skin is key when you are doing a very natural look. Sense you will not be doing a super bold dramatic eye look, the focus will be on your skin! You want to have that beautiful inner glow look. Make sure you have a nice and well cleaned face before you start applying your makeup! Once cleaned and moisturized, you will first start by applying your primer. A good primer will equal great makeup application.
I like to use a matte primer in my t-zone because that is where I am super oily. Then a more hydrating, glowing primer everywhere else. After my primer has set in i love to use a good setting spray to make sure my primer is locked in!
For this look I used:
- Soap and Glory ” One heck of a blot”
- Smashbox Primer Water
Now its on to the second most important part of the skin. Picking the foundation. I love a full coverage foundation even for a soft natural makeup look. As long as you blend it out correctly it will look natural and flawless. I like to make foundation cocktails, which is just when I mix two different foundations together!
For this look i used:
- Tarte Shape Tape Foundation
- L.A. Girl Pro Matte Foundation
After have our base done its time for one of my favorite things, CONCEALER! If your anything like, you have terrible dark circle that you wish you could make magically disappear. This concealer is as close to magic as you can get! BLENDING IS KEY! Sense you are using a full coverage concealer you want to make sure you blend like crazy to make sure it does not look as heavy, and more natural.
It is time to “bake our makeup.” I learned this term through RuPaul’s Drag Race. Don’t judge but this show is amazing and it teaches you so much! Anyways this phrase refers to putting translucent powder onto your face, and letting it sit for five to ten minutes. This allows the heat from your face literally cook the powder. Once dusting away it leaves you will a crease free, flawless finish!
I used my holy grail Airspun Translucent Powder for this. I also use this and push it into my skin with my damp Real Techniques sponge. This helps set the rest of my face without making it look super powdery.
For my brows I just used my Maybelline Total Temptation Brow Definer. I just very lightly filled in my brows. I did not do any sculpting or anything to them.
For the eyes I only used one palette, and two colors! I used the Anastasia Beverly Hills, Soft Glam Palette. The palette is just such a beautiful palette, and one of my holy grails. I used the shades Burnt Orange, and Glistening on my eyes. It gave me a light contour in my crease, and a pretty shimmer on the lid.
For mascara I used my holy grail product Lights, Camera Lashes by Tarte.
Lets jump back to the face, and bring this look together!
For bronzer I used Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer. This gave me a beautiful healthy bronzed look. It added just a little warmth and dimension to my face, without going over the top.
I used the Wet N Wild Color Icon blush in the shade Fantastic Plastic Pink. This is the perfect shade for this kind of look. It is a very pretty light pink, and its the perfect color for this look!
Before I put my highlighter on, I like to go ahead and set my face. I love the Smashbox Primer Water, and Too Faced Hangover Spray. You obviously don’t need to setting sprays, but I use both to make my makeup is nice and set! I used the primer water first and then after my highlight goes on I will used the Too Faced spray.
For my highlight I used the Smashbox Spotlight Palette in Pearl. This gives you such a beautiful natural glow. For a more dramatic highlight you can layer it on. Which is what i do a lot!
I use my Too Faced Hangover Spray to completely set my face. Then we are done!
I hope you guys enjoyed this post! I will be posting a Full Glam, Dramatic Makeup look very soon!! Believe me I will not be holding anything back! Glitz and glamour is the only way to go for me!!
I love you my beauties!!!
